On November 8, the leader of Lebanon's Hezbollah movement issued a defiant statement, asserting that the group would achieve ultimate victory over what he called the 'despicable Israeli regime' and that Jerusalem (Al-Quds) would be liberated.
Speaking at a public event, Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah declared: 'Hezbollah’s victory over the brutal Israeli regime is certain, and Jerusalem will be ours.'
The remarks come amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip, where fierce fighting continues in several areas. Hezbollah, a powerful political and military force in Lebanon, has repeatedly expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Analysts suggest the statement aims to boost morale among allied forces and increase pressure on Israel. Israeli officials have not yet issued an official response to Nasrallah’s comments.
Jerusalem, known as Al-Quds in Arabic, has long been a flashpoint in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Previous protests and clashes have erupted over the city’s sovereignty.
