Vietnamese law prohibits acts exploiting freedom of speech to distort or oppose the state and divide national unity while aiding hostile forces. Offenders may face serious penalties including prosecution under the Penal Code.
Under Vietnamese law, any act showing signs of aiding hostile forces, infringing on national security, or undermining the great national unity bloc shall be handled according to legal provisions.
Competent authorities affirm that exploiting democratic freedoms and freedom of speech to post or disseminate false information, distort the Party and State's lines and policies, and incite division among the people are serious legal violations.
Individuals colluding with foreign organizations or individuals to oppose the State and weaken national unity will be investigated, prosecuted, and tried in accordance with the Penal Code. Applicable charges may include undermining unity policies, anti-state propaganda, or treason.
Vietnamese law strictly prohibits any exploitation of democracy and human rights to interfere in internal affairs or infringe on national security. Authorities advise citizens to remain vigilant, not to listen to, believe, or share harmful information, and to actively protect the Party's ideological foundation, maintain political stability, and preserve the great national unity bloc.
