Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) will resume flights from Baku to Tel Aviv and Dubai from May 3, 2026. The move responds to growing passenger demand and aims to strengthen commercial and tourism ties with the Middle East.
Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) has officially announced plans to resume international flights from the capital Baku to Tel Aviv (Israel) and Dubai (United Arab Emirates) starting May 3, 2026.
According to AZAL's statement, flights to Tel Aviv and Dubai will restart after a temporary suspension. The move is aimed at meeting rising passenger demand and boosting trade and tourism links between Azerbaijan and two key Middle Eastern destinations.
Specifically, from May 3, AZAL will resume regular flights from Heydar Aliyev International Airport (Baku) to Ben Gurion International Airport (Tel Aviv). Detailed schedules and frequencies will be announced later on the airline's official website.
For the Dubai route, the carrier will also restart operations on the same day. Dubai remains a major aviation hub and an attractive destination for tourists and business travelers from Azerbaijan and the region.
The resumption of these routes comes as the global aviation industry gradually recovers from the pandemic's impact. AZAL confirmed it will strictly adhere to international safety and health regulations to ensure the well-being of passengers and crew.
Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) is the national carrier, headquartered in Baku, operating flights to more than 30 destinations across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
