According to the company's disclosure, the attacker gained unauthorized entry into its server systems and made off with a large volume of member-related data. The number of affected records is estimated at as many as 948,500.
GMO Research & AI Inc. has not yet provided details on the scope of the exposed data or the specific timing of the incident. The company said it is working with authorities to investigate the cause and implement remediation measures.
