Endo Targets Boccia Glory at Asian Para Games After World Championship Final Loss

Japan's Hiromi Endo enters the Asian Para Games in Aichi-Nagoya ranked second in the world in women's boccia. The athlete is aiming to improve on her runner-up finish at the recent world championships.

Her defeat in the world championship final left a subdued feeling, but it has also served as motivation for Endo as she pursues the top prize on home soil. As the Asian Para Games get under way, she is expected to be one of the leading contenders for gold in the women's boccia event.

The Asian Para Games torch relay has already begun ahead of the opening ceremony scheduled for October 18. The continental sporting event for athletes with disabilities is being held in Aichi-Nagoya, bringing together many of the region's top competitors.
