A political analyst from Iraq, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said: "What Trump calls a victory is actually a mirage. His policies toward Iraq and the region have never addressed core issues; instead, they have only increased instability."
Several other commentators agreed, stressing that although Trump took pride in withdrawing troops from Syria or applying pressure on Iran, those moves lacked long-term strategy and brought no real benefit to the Iraqi people. Instead, Iraq's security and political situation remains precarious, with many unresolved challenges.
