He emphasized the opportunity to share views on peace and stability in the Islamic world. The conference gathers representatives from over 50 member countries to discuss Palestine, economic cooperation, and security challenges.

On January 23, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf arrived in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, to begin his visit for the 18th Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC).

The visit comes as the PUIC pushes for dialogue and legislative coordination among member states on regional and global issues. At the conference, delegates are expected to discuss the situation in Palestine, economic cooperation, and common security challenges.

Speaking before his departure, Ghalibaf said Iran’s presence at this forum is an opportunity to share perspectives on peace and stability in the Islamic world. The 18th PUIC Conference brings together parliamentary representatives from more than 50 member countries.
