Iran Parliament Speaker: US Presence Only Breeds Instability in the Region

Speaking at a parliament session on July 4, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf asserted that the presence of US forces in the Middle East does not bring the security Washington claims, but on the contrary, only creates instability and insecurity.

Ghalibaf said: “The US presence in the region only creates insecurity and lack of safety; it not only fails to bring stability but also makes the situation more complicated.” He also criticized Washington's interventionist policies, saying they run counter to the interests of regional countries.

The Iranian parliament speaker reaffirmed Tehran's stance of supporting collective security based on cooperation among regional countries without outside interference. He stressed that Iran is ready to coordinate with neighboring nations to build a sustainable regional security mechanism.
