Speaking at a meeting with international partners, the President of the Armenian Red Cross Society stressed the importance of expanding cooperation in humanitarian aid and emergency response. He stated that the organization is seeking deeper collaboration with United Nations agencies, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and other national Red Cross societies.
According to information from the meeting, the Armenian Red Cross President particularly emphasized the need to strengthen capacities for programs supporting refugees and migrants, an urgent issue in Armenia in recent years. He also requested technical and financial assistance from international partners to upgrade the country's emergency relief system.
The appeal comes as Armenia faces growing humanitarian challenges, including the influx of people from neighboring conflict zones and socio-economic difficulties. The Armenian Red Cross President affirmed that expanding international cooperation will enable the organization to better meet the needs of the people while enhancing Armenia's role in the global humanitarian network.
Representatives of international organizations present at the meeting expressed support for the proposal and pledged to consider specific cooperation mechanisms in the near future.
