ICC President Karim Khan has accused members of the court's governing body of launching a biased and dangerous campaign to oust him, linked to unfounded sexual harassment allegations and the investigation into Israeli war crimes. In an exclusive interview, he described pressure and threats from former UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron and US Senator Lindsey Graham.

In an exclusive interview with Middle East Eye, International Criminal Court (ICC) President Karim Khan described the extraordinary pressure and threats he has faced over his pursuit of arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the country's former defense minister. He said he was threatened by former UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron and US Senator Lindsey Graham.
Mr. Khan accused members of the Assembly of States Parties (ASP) of breaking fundamental legal principles by ignoring the results of a UN investigation into allegations of misconduct — which they themselves commissioned — in which appointed judges concluded there was no evidence of wrongdoing.
Mr. Khan said he was not kept anonymous while a complaint against him was being investigated, unlike previous court officials who faced misconduct allegations, after his name was confirmed to the media by the ASP President. "Why am I being treated so differently?" he asked.
