Four injured in Manhattan terror-related explosion at bus terminal

A suspect's improvised explosive device detonated prematurely at New York's Port Authority Bus Terminal during Monday morning rush hour, injuring four people including the suspect. The FBI and NYPD are treating the incident as an isolated act of terrorism.
New York police confirmed that around 7:20 a.m. local time on December 11, an explosion occurred at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown Manhattan. The incident happened during rush hour, causing panic among passengers.
Initial police reports indicate that a device attached to the suspect's body detonated prematurely, before he could carry out a terrorist act. The blast injured four people, including the suspect. Three other victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment, with injuries not considered life-threatening.
Authorities cordoned off the area around the explosion and have launched an investigation to determine the cause and gather evidence. Subway and bus services in the vicinity were temporarily suspended for security reasons.
The FBI and the New York Police Department are jointly handling the case, with an initial assessment that it was an isolated act of terrorism. Officials urged the public to remain calm and follow security instructions when traveling through the area.
