Russian Defense Ministry: Ukraine Suffers 1,195 Casualties in Single Day Across Combat Zones

The Russian Defense Ministry announced that Ukraine suffered 1,195 military casualties in a single day across multiple front lines. The losses were attributed to strikes by Russian combat groups targeting mechanized and anti-aircraft brigades in several regions.
Moscow, May 2 (TASS) – Russia’s Defense Ministry announced that Ukraine sustained 1,195 military casualties in a single day due to operations by Russian combat groups in the special military operation zone.
According to the statement, enemy losses were distributed as follows: up to 250 personnel under the responsibility of the Northern Combat Group, 200 from the Western Group, 120 from the Southern Group, 275 from the Central Group, over 310 from the Eastern Group, and more than 40 from the Dnepr Group.
The Northern Combat Group defeated formations of a Ukrainian mechanized brigade and an anti-aircraft brigade near the settlements of Druzhba, Velikaya Berezka, and Kondratovka in Sumy region. In Kharkov region, personnel and equipment of Ukrainian mechanized and motorized infantry brigades were struck in the areas of Kolodeznoye and Lyutovka. The enemy lost 16 motor vehicles, one field artillery unit, and two electronic warfare stations.
The Western Group defeated personnel and equipment of a Ukrainian assault mechanized brigade, an unmanned systems regiment, and a National Guard brigade near Gorokhovatka, Druzhladovka, Novosergeyevka (Kharkov region), Mayaki, and Krasny Liman (DPR). The Ukrainian military lost one infantry fighting vehicle, one U.S.-manufactured M113 armored personnel carrier, two armored fighting vehicles, 15 motor vehicles, three field artillery pieces, and five electronic warfare stations.
The Southern Group defeated formations of two Ukrainian mechanized brigades and one marine brigade near Konstantinovka, Roskoshnoye, Nikolayevka, Artyom, Krivaya Luka, and Rai-Alexandrovka (DPR). The enemy lost four armored fighting vehicles, 16 motor vehicles, one artillery unit, and one electronic warfare station.
Central, Eastern and Dnepr Groups
The Central Combat Group defeated personnel and equipment of three mechanized, assault, and airborne brigades, one assault regiment, one marine brigade, and two Ukrainian National Guard brigades near Kamenka, Novogrigorovka, Novonikolayevka, Maryevka, Dobropolye, Matyashevo, Kucherov Yar (DPR), Veseloye, and Novopodgorodnoye (Dnepropetrovsk region). Ukrainian armed forces losses amounted to four armored fighting vehicles, seven motor vehicles, one field artillery piece, and three electronic warfare stations.
The Eastern Combat Group defeated personnel and equipment of two mechanized, assault, airborne brigades, and four Ukrainian assault regiments near Prosyanaya, Dobropasovo, Pokrovskoye (Dnepropetrovsk region), Vasinovka, Barvinovka, Lyubitskoye, Lesnoye, Omelnik, and Vozdvizhevka (Zaporozhye region). The enemy lost four armored fighting vehicles, three motor vehicles, and one artillery unit.
The Dnepr Group defeated formations of a Ukrainian mechanized brigade and a mountain assault brigade near Schastlivoye, Yurkovka, and Zaporozhets (Zaporozhye region). Eleven motor vehicles, one armored fighting vehicle, and one electronic warfare station were destroyed.
