The 2026-27 Premier League fixtures were released on Friday, with the highlight being champions Arsenal's opening match against promoted Coventry City at the Emirates on August 21.
Coventry City return to English top-flight football for the first time in 25 years after winning the Championship title last season. Frank Lampard’s side will face Arsenal in their first match of the new campaign.
Elsewhere, Andoni Iraola will make his debut as Liverpool head coach away to Newcastle United on August 23. The former Bournemouth boss’s first game at Anfield will be against Nottingham Forest on August 29.
Manchester City, entering the post-Pep Guardiola era, begin their new chapter at home to Bournemouth on August 23. City are expected to appoint former Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca to replace Guardiola, who left after a decade in charge.
New Chelsea head coach Xabi Alonso will start his tenure with a west London derby against Fulham on August 24.
Hull City, promoted via the Championship play-offs, will play their first Premier League match since 2017 when they host Manchester United on August 22.
Opening weekend also sees Europa League champions Aston Villa face Brighton & Hove Albion.
Arsenal, champions for the first time since 2004, face a tough run immediately after the Coventry game. Mikel Arteta’s side travel to Aston Villa in round two and then host Chelsea on September 5.
The weekend of September 12 sees the first post-Guardiola Manchester derby, while Liverpool host Manchester United on November 21. City face Arsenal at the Emirates on November 28.
The first Merseyside derby of the season between Everton and Liverpool is scheduled for November 28 at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Roberto De Zerbi will experience the north London derby for the first time when Tottenham host Arsenal on December 5.
The Boxing Day fixture list features Coventry boss Frank Lampard facing his former club Chelsea on December 26.
