The manga "Dokagui Daisuki! Mochizuki-san" (Guzzling with Gusto! Mochizuki-san) by author Kamome Maruyono, serialized in Hakusensha's Young Animal ZERO magazine and on the Young Animal Web website, has officially announced an anime adaptation. The news was confirmed in an official statement, which also revealed that studio Passione will handle animation production.
Passione is a studio known for bold, striking visuals. With this experience, fans can expect the dishes in the series to be rendered as appetizing and "lethal" as the original.
According to the official release, the anime aims to fully capture the original's appeal: gorgeous food sequences that stimulate the palate, along with the "guilty pleasure" and "thrill" Mochizuki-san experiences when eating to her heart's content—all recreated through unique expressions only possible in anime.
To commemorate the announcement, author Kamome Maruyono shared a special illustration depicting Mochizuki-san "burying her face" in a pile of karaage fried chicken, as well as a short bonus chapter titled "Anime Production Confirmed - Special Edition". The chapter shows the protagonist facing a celebration feast and wrestling with the inner conflict of "I want to eat everything right now..."—a humorous situation typical of the series.
Readers can read the commemorative chapter here. More anime details will be updated on the official website and the project's official X (Twitter) account.
