US judge halts construction of Trump’s triumphal arch in Washington, DC
A US federal judge has ordered a temporary halt to construction of President Donald Trump's proposed 250-foot 'triumphal arch' in Washington, DC. Judge Tanya Chutkan's 14-day pause came after the National Capital Planning Commission narrowly approved the project despite objections, including from Vietnam war veterans who fear it will obstruct the sightline between Arlington National Cemetery and the Lincoln Memorial.
