Tenerife’s Jesus de Miguel remembered in moving tributes by football world

Tenerife forward Jesus de Miguel, 30, died on Tuesday after an on-field collision with Andorra goalkeeper Jesus Owono during a Spanish second-division match, suffering a cardiac arrest in the ambulance while being taken to hospital. The football world has paid tribute, with the RFEF postponing domestic matches, UEFA holding a minute's silence at Champions League games, and the club announcing six days of mourning. Local police have opened an investigation, though Owono is unlikely to face criminal charges.
