Joint List says it will back Eisenkot to form Israel’s next government
The Joint List, an alliance of Arab-led parties, says it will recommend opposition leader Gadi Eisenkot to President Isaac Herzog to form Israel's next government. With the Joint List's 11 seats and Ra'am's 8, Eisenkot is expected to secure 67 endorsements, above the 61-seat Knesset majority threshold, while Benjamin Netanyahu's bloc appears to be short of the 61 needed.
