Olympic champion Imane Khelif to make professional boxing debut in December
Olympic welterweight champion Imane Khelif has announced she will make her professional boxing debut on December 15 in Paris against Clarida Sarabia in the super-welterweight class, her first fight since winning gold at Paris 2024. The Algerian, who was at the center of a gender controversy at the Games, holds a professional licence from France's boxing federation and postponed an earlier return in April due to a training injury. Her coach Kamel Abdesselam said she could win a world title within three to five fights.
