WTA apologises to Pegula for broadcast of ‘diva’ comment about Andreeva
WTA chief Valerie Camillo apologised to Jessica Pegula after a courtside microphone at Indian Wells captured the American star calling rival Mirra Andreeva a 'diva' during a practice session, with the exchange broadcast on a WTA YouTube livestream. Camillo blamed 'several breakdowns' in execution, citing a lack of signage and notice about recording equipment, and said all audio equipment in practice areas has been removed.
