Armed men kill at least 33 in village in Ebola-hit eastern DRC
Armed men believed to belong to the ADF militia attacked villages near Cantine in North Kivu, eastern DR Congo, killing at least 33 people and burning more than 50 homes, local officials and civil society leaders said. The attackers also set fire to a health post, forcing about 180 patients — including suspected and one confirmed Ebola case — to flee, raising fears the outbreak could spread further in a region already facing the fastest-growing Ebola epidemic on record.
