A three-day conference in Ghana's capital, Accra, has produced a 19-point framework urging nations that profited from the transatlantic slave trade to issue formal apologies and establish reparation mechanisms. The meeting gathered heads of state, policymakers, and diaspora representatives to discuss historical responsibility and inequality. Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama announced the creation of three international bodies focused on reparative justice, cultural restitution, and legal matters.
