Putin places Japan Tobacco's Russia assets under local management
Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered Japan Tobacco Inc.'s Russian assets placed under the temporary management of a Russian firm, Moscow's latest move against a country imposing sanctions over the war in Ukraine. The decision adds another foreign-owned business to the list of assets transferred to state-linked control, drawing concern from Tokyo.
