UK Supreme Court hears appeal against Palestine Action’s proscription
The UK Supreme Court has begun hearing a two-day appeal challenging the government's designation of Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation. The ban, imposed under then-Prime Minister Keir Starmer in July last year, has been criticised by rights groups including Amnesty International and Liberty as a misuse of terrorism powers. About 25 demonstrators were arrested outside the court as the hearing got under way.
