Rome Prosecutors Investigate Israeli Defence Minister and 12 Officials Over Alleged Abuse of Activists
Prosecutors in Rome have placed Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz and 12 senior military, police and prison officials under investigation over the alleged mistreatment of activists detained on Gaza-bound aid flotillas. The case, which follows a complaint by 50 Italian citizens, broadens an earlier probe that had targeted only National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
