Satellite images reveal devastation after double earthquakes in Venezuela
Satellite images show the devastation in coastal areas of Venezuela after two powerful earthquakes on June 24 killed at least 1,430 people and left more than 51,000 missing. The quakes, magnitudes 7.2 and 7.5, struck near San Felipe about 40 seconds apart, triggering over 302 aftershocks. Hardest hit were Macuto and Caraballeda, where high-rise buildings and resorts collapsed, with rescue efforts continuing amid fading hopes.
