Apple Maps Renames Lake Ontario to 'Lake America' for US Users
Apple has renamed Lake Ontario to 'Lake America' on Apple Maps for US users, following an executive order from President Donald Trump amid trade tensions with Canada. Users outside the US still see the original name, while Google has also adopted the change. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has rejected the renaming, asserting the name's Indigenous origins.
