One in 70 people worldwide forced to flee their homes
At least 117.8 million people—one in every 70 globally—are living in forced displacement due to conflict and crises, according to a new UNHCR report. While the number fell slightly for the first time in a decade, the decline was overshadowed by a rapidly worsening crisis in Lebanon and Iran. The report highlights historic return movements but warns conditions remain precarious for many returnees.
