Gaza children face skin disease crisis due to dire living conditions
More than 17,000 parasitic skin infections were recorded in Gaza in 2026, with children making up over 62% of diagnosed cases. In April, MAP screened over 7,000 people and found scabies accounting for nearly a third of infectious diseases at one clinic. Hospitals are critically short of medicines, and many families have stopped seeking help.
