Protests spread across France as Yellow Vests prepare to join
Protests that began in mid-September at a high school in Creteil have spread to thousands of schools across France, drawing in teachers, unions and university students. Yellow Vest activists have called on supporters to join Saturday's demonstrations, with more than 1,750 protest sites listed nationwide. The unrest comes as the government balances demands for better public services against the need to curb a deficit of 5.1% of GDP.
