Gambia Uses Proceeds From Sale of US Mansion to Compensate Victims of Ex-Dictator Jammeh
Gambia's Compensation Commission says it has received more than $2.5 million from the sale of former President Yahya Jammeh's mansion in Potomac, Maryland. The funds, returned by the US Justice Department after a forfeiture case, will go solely to compensating victims of human rights abuses under Jammeh's 22-year rule.
