US: 345 Salmonella Cases Linked to Mexican Jalapeño Peppers
At least 345 people across 27 US states have been sickened in a salmonella outbreak linked to jalapeño peppers from Mexico, with 36 hospitalized, the CDC said. The peppers were traced to a farm in Sinaloa, Mexico, and have been recalled by the importer; major chains Chipotle and Qdoba have removed them from their restaurants.
