Pope Leo Recovering Well After Lung Cancer Surgery
Pope Leo XIV is recovering according to plan after surgery to remove a lung cancer tumor, the Vatican says, with the 71-year-old pontiff back on his feet, eating normally and undergoing respiratory physiotherapy. Tests confirmed lung adenocarcinoma following the removal of the lower lobe of his right lung; no decision has yet been made on further treatment.
