Ramiro Valdes, last legend of Cuba's revolution, dies at 94
Ramiro Valdes, a commander in Cuba's communist revolution and architect of its notorious intelligence apparatus, has died at 94. He was one of the last surviving revolutionary leaders alongside Raul Castro and a close ally of Fidel Castro. His death came shortly after the Cuban Communist Party approved major free-market reforms.
