Yemen's Giants Brigades Open New Front Against Houthis in the South
The Southern Giants Brigades, rooted in Yemen's southern separatist movement, have become a leading anti-Houthi force after joining government troops in a major offensive near the Bab al-Mandeb strait. The campaign has cut a key road linking Mocha to the strategic waterway, but it has also revived questions about the brigade's separatist ties and its place in Yemen's fragmented anti-Houthi alliance.
