Japan, U.S. to Discuss Off-Base Conduct After Okinawa Killing
Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi said Japan-U.S. talks on preventing crimes by U.S. military personnel will focus on off-base conduct, following the alleged murder of a local woman in Okinawa by a U.S. Marine. The discussions will include measures to tighten supervision and education of troops and are expected to involve both governments and Okinawan authorities.
