Qatar announces 'large-scale' solar power project in Lebanon
Qatar's prime minister announced plans for a large-scale solar power plant in Lebanon during a visit to Beirut, saying QatarEnergy and France's TotalEnergies will jointly develop the project. Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said Qatar would fund and run the plant at no cost to the state, as the two sides also discussed Israeli violations in southern Lebanon.
