Democratic Party Sues Trump Over Taxpayer-Funded Ad Campaign
The Democratic National Committee and the democracy watchdog Common Cause have sued President Donald Trump over a broadcast advertising campaign funded with public money, alleging it violates the ban on using taxpayer funds for political propaganda. Both suits say Trump redirected $20 million Congress allocated for border security commemorations to pay for the ads.
