Israel vote results confirmed as election commission rejects fraud claims
Israel’s Central Elections Committee has certified last week’s parliamentary election results after reviewing 9,069 polling stations and finding no fraud, rejecting claims by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his allies. The committee’s presidium ratified the outcome with the deciding vote from Supreme Court Justice Noam Sohlberg, while Likud and Shas abstained. President Isaac Herzog has begun consultations with party leaders on forming a government, with the Netanyahu-led bloc holding 53 seats against 48 for Gadi Eisenkot’s camp and a record 19 for Arab-led parties, leaving no side with the 61 seats needed to govern.
