US sanctions Indian and Turkish firms accused of helping Iran
The US Treasury sanctioned an Indian couple based in Chandigarh, their associates and nine linked entities, accusing them of running a years-long scheme to issue fake ship registries and flags so sanctioned Iranian tankers could keep operating. Washington also sanctioned Turkiye-based Fugo Ground Services for supporting US-designated Iranian airlines. The measures are part of the Trump administration's "Operation Economic Outcast" campaign against Iranian oil revenue.
