London Council Seizes Social Housing Flat Once Rented by Sierra Leone's First Lady
Southwark Council has repossessed a social housing flat in London rented by Sierra Leone's First Lady, Fatima Jabbe-Bio, after a 12-month probe into whether she actually lived there. The flat, which Ms. Jabbe-Bio defended as lawfully occupied by her family, will now go to a family on the waiting list. The move comes as the council intensifies its fight against tenancy fraud amid rising housing pressure.
