Yemen: Government Announces Major Offensive to Retake Strategic District on West Coast
Yemen's internationally recognized government has announced a major military campaign to retake all Houthi-controlled territory, saying it has regained control of Dhubab district near the Bab al-Mandab strait. The announcement follows weeks of fierce fighting and Houthi advances along the Red Sea coast and around Taiz, with more than 100,000 people displaced since a 2022 ceasefire collapsed in July.
