Anthropic Pledges 5% Stake to Public Benefit Fund
Anthropic will transfer 5% of its shares into a new "Anthropic Public Benefit Fund", with an extra 2% added each time the company's value rises 50%, pending shareholder approval. The fund may back nonprofits and direct payouts, including efforts to address AI-driven labor disruption, and cannot be used for lobbying or political donations. The move comes as the company prepares for a possible record IPO before the end of 2026.
