French Court Convicts Airbus and Air France of Manslaughter in 2009 Crash
A Paris appeals court found Airbus and Air France guilty of manslaughter in the 2009 crash of Flight AF447, which killed all 228 people aboard. Both companies were fined the maximum penalty of 225,000 euros each, a largely symbolic sum but a legal victory for victims' families. Airbus announced it will appeal to France's highest court.
