Wave of Israeli Settler Violence Hits US Journalists, Lawmakers and European Diplomats
European diplomats, including a French mayor, were attacked near the West Bank village of Taybeh as Israeli settler violence escalates during the olive harvest, weeks before Israel's Oct. 27 election. The EU condemned the attacks, which followed the brutal assault on Washington Post journalist Heidi Levine and add to a pattern of violence against foreign officials, journalists and prominent Palestinians.
