Meghan Markle’s father arrested in US over alleged child sex abuse photos
Thomas Markle Sr, the estranged father of Meghan Markle, was arrested in Lakeland, Florida, on a federal charge of possessing child sexual abuse material after FBI agents searched two Los Angeles-area storage units and found 78 items including photos and film negatives allegedly depicting him with prepubescent girls. The 82-year-old, who returned to the US from the Philippines after a stroke and leg amputation, is expected in court Friday and faces up to 20 years if convicted. Meghan said she first learned of the allegations in 2018 and that distancing herself from her father was to protect her children.
