UAE: Flydubai co-pilot plotted to crash plane into Israel
UAE prosecutors say the Flydubai co-pilot who tried to seize control of a September 30 flight carried out a 'suicide mission' aimed at crashing the plane into Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, and has stated he acted alone. Investigators say the 29-year-old suspect met all professional and security checks before joining the airline, with signs of radicalization first appearing in 2017 while he was studying in Australia.
