France on Edge as School Blockades and Street Protests Surge
Tens of thousands protested across France on Tuesday as unions, teachers and high school students demanded better learning conditions, with clashes reported in some areas. The Interior Ministry counted 86,000 demonstrators nationwide, while the CGT cited 260,000. Authorities reported 215 students and 715 police officers injured since the movement began.
