Russia’s land gains in Ukraine dwindle as its diesel reportedly goes unsold
Russia's territorial gains in Ukraine have collapsed to roughly 117 sq km in the first 10 months of 2026, compared with more than 5,000 sq km in 2025, according to ISW data cited by Al Jazeera. Meanwhile, Moscow is reportedly struggling to sell diesel abroad after four tankers loaded under a Trump-Putin arrangement failed to find buyers, and Ukraine continues striking Russian refineries.
