Lebanese sea turtle conservationist Mona Khalil dies after Israeli attack
Mona Khalil, a 77-year-old Lebanese marine ecologist who dedicated over two decades to protecting endangered sea turtle nests in southern Lebanon, died on Friday from injuries sustained in an Israeli strike near Tyre. Her death came as Israel intensified airstrikes across southern Lebanon, killing at least 50 people.
