Honda Abandons Goal of Full Transition to Electric and Fuel Cell Vehicles by 2040
Honda Motor has scrapped its 2040 goal of selling only electric and hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles. The Japanese automaker cited slowing EV demand, high battery costs, and infrastructure gaps. Honda will continue EV investments but adopt a more flexible approach including hybrids and internal combustion engines.
